Volleyball Recap: Midway Vikings vs. Drexel Bobcats
Midway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Drexel Bobcats. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Midway started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-17, 25-17, 27-25.
Midway's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bella Landis, who had ten digs, and Ella Jamison, who had 12 digs and nine kills. Jamison is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in the last four games she's played.
Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20-1. As for Drexel, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9-1 record this season.
