Volleyball Recap: Walthill Comes Up Short

Walthill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Winside Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blujays of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-6, 25-13.

Brooklyn Monroy paced Walthill's offense, picking up two kills. Monroy got some help from Nicomi Frazier and her three assists.

Walthill's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Winside, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Walthill will venture away from home to take on Omaha Nation on Tuesday. Winside has already played their next matchup (against Pender), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
