Soccer Recap: Guthrie Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Guthrie Bluejays didn't have quite enough to beat the Grant Generals and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Bluejays have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Angel Cazares-Lopez Cazares-Lopez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Guthrie now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Grant, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guthrie will take on Northwest Classen at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Guthrie's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Grant, they will be playing at home against Santa Fe South at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
