Volleyball Recap: Brush Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Brush lost against Resurrection Christian back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Beetdiggers came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0. The Beetdiggers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-15.

Olivia Mertens paced Brush's offense, picking up four kills. Mertens got some help from Taryn Wickham and her seven assists.

Resurrection Christian can attribute much of their success to Blake Coors, who had 15 digs and two aces.

Brush's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Resurrection Christian, they pushed their record up to 17-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Brush has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Wray on the 18th. As for Resurrection Christian, after both having extra time off, they and Eaton will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
