The Nueva School posted their closest win since March 23, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the East Palo Alto Academy Bulldogs 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was The Nueva School who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-13, 17-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-13.

The Nueva School's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for East Palo Alto Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. The Nueva School will challenge rival Design Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, East Palo Alto Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Mountain View Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
