Football Recap: West Plains Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hillcrest last Friday, West Plains came back down to earth. The Zizzers received a blow on Friday as they fell 35-21 to the Branson Pirates. If the Zizzers were looking for revenge after losing 46-21 to the Pirates when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Branson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Plains will head out to square off against Logan-Rogersville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Zizzers will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Branson, they will venture away from home to take on Parkview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
