Volleyball Recap: Campbellsport Cougars vs. Port Washington Pirates

Campbellsport was the 2-1 winner over Port Washington when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates on Saturday.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-8.

Muraski Emma paced Campbellsport's offense, picking up four kills. Emma got some help from Schwartz Gracie and her six assists.

Port Washington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sierra Hoeft led the charge by getting five digs and four aces. That's the most digs Hoeft has posted over her last five matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Savanna Miller, who had five digs and four aces.

Campbellsport's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Port Washington, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9.

Coincidentally, Campbellsport and Port Washington will both be playing University School of Milwaukee the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Wildcats at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
