Volleyball Game Preview: Del Sol Dragons vs. Cimarron-Memorial Spartans

The Del Sol Dragons will challenge the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Del Sol turned things around against Amplus Academy on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Archers by a score of 3-1.

Del Sol had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-12.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cimarron-Memorial had no problem doing just that on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Miners. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Miners: they've now won three in a row.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 26-24, 26-24, 25-21.

Cimarron-Memorial's win bumped their record up to 21-18. As for Del Sol, they pushed their record up to 17-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
