Baseball Recap: Cypress Lakes Takes a Loss

Cypress Lakes had lost five straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 7-21 to make it six. They fell 10-6 to the Cypress Springs Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 on Tuesday.

As for Cypress Springs, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-19. Ten seems to be a good number for they as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

For Cypress Springs' part, they let Jayvn Mitchell and Travonne Pierite run wild. Mitchell went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Pierite went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Pierite has posted since back in March. Mathew Calvo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

As of now, neither Cypress Lakes nor Cypress Springs have any future games scheduled.
