Recap: Classical Prep Lions vs. Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Classical Prep Lions can now relate to. They were beaten by the Warriors 68-20 on Tuesday. Classical Prep has struggled against Zephyrhills Christian Academy recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Classical Prep saw an underclassman step up: Kalan Schroder scored 14 points.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Perez, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Perez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rogers Jones, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Classical Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.
