Wellington put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Boca Raton Bobcats with a sharp 24-0 victory. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Bobcats are ranked 178th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wellington's defense and their three sacks. Alana Riddle was especially locked on to Boca Raton's QB and sacked her twice. The dominant performance also gave Riddle a new career-high in total tackles (three).

Wellington's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.3 points. As for Boca Raton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Wellington will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Palm Beach Central at 7:15 p.m. on April 1st. As for Boca Raton, they have already played their next match, a 6-0 defeat against Royal Palm Beach on the 18th.
