Softball Game Preview: San Juan Hills Stallions vs. Beckman Patriots

The San Juan Hills Stallions will challenge the Beckman Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

San Juan Hills fell victim to San Clemente and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Tritons, falling 10-0. The Stallions haven't had much luck with the Tritons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Beckman waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Chargers.

The team relied heavily on Jazmine Cruz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kylie Kim, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Beckman hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive matchups.

Beckman's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for San Juan Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

San Juan Hills skirted past Beckman 6-4 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Stallions repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
