Football Recap: Black River Comes Up Short

Black River and Columbia pushed the score to 35-30 the last time they played Columbia, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Pirates lost to the Raiders at home by a 14-0 margin. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

The critical scores for Columbia came from Jose Rivera and Ryan Smith.

Black River now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Columbia, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
