Basketball Game Preview: San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots vs. First Baptist Saints

The San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots will square off against the First Baptist Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Jacinto Christian Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last 15 games.

Last Tuesday, San Jacinto Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Ovilla Christian, taking the game 55-46.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only First Baptist walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 55-39 win over the Sentinels on Friday. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Sentinels are ranked 883rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

San Jacinto Christian Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 31-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points over those games. As for First Baptist, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-5 record this season.

San Jacinto Christian Academy beat First Baptist 35-24 when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Will San Jacinto Christian Academy repeat their success, or does First Baptist have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
