While Mount Union's victory against Claysburg-Kimmel wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Bulldogs on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Davin Yocum spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Julian Weirich, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Levi Hunsinger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Mount Union's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
