Softball Recap: Pomperaug Comes Up Short

If Pomperaug was riding high fresh off their 13-7 takedown of Kolbe-Cathedral on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 13-3 to the Immaculate Mustangs on Wednesday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Pomperaug now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Immaculate, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Pomperaug didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-5 victory against O'Brien RVT on the 1st. As for Immaculate, they have also already played their next match, a 20-4 loss against Newtown on the 2nd.
