St. Anne-Pacelli fought the good fight in their overtime game against Russell County on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 55-50 to the Warriors. On the bright side, the 50- point performance marked the Vikings' highest-scoring contest to date.

Meanwhile, Douglass was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Stone Mountain 67-18. The Astros haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Douglass' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
