Basketball Recap: Morrison Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ashton-Franklin Center on Wednesday, Morrison came back down to earth. The Mustangs took a blow against the Fulton Steamers on Friday, falling 64-32. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Steamers earlier this season, when they won 52-48.

Brayden Rubright and Izaak Neas certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rubright posted 16 points, while Neas scored 12 points. Rubright's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Morrison's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Fulton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Morrison and Fulton will both be playing Amboy the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will host the Clippers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Steamers will host them at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
