Baseball Recap: Putnam Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Putnam's offense. They came up short against the New London Whalers on Monday, falling 14-0. The Clippers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Whalers from their previous meeting back in May of 2017.

Putnam saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Murowski, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Putnam's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for New London, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Putnam has already played their next matchup, a 12-1 defeat against Wheeler on the 24th. As for New London, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-2 win against Ledyard on the 22nd.
