Football Game Preview: Chester-Seward Hambletonians vs. Dover Dragons

Chester-Seward is a perfect 3-0 against Dover since September of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hambletonians will host the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Chester-Seward got the win against Oneonta by a conclusive 34-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hambletonians.

Meanwhile, Dover slipped by Rondout Valley 35-34 on Friday.

A big part of Dover's victory came down to the chemistry between Conor Drnek and his top target Kayden Brinson. Drnek threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes while Brinson picked up 138 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 138 receiving yards gave Brinson a new career-high.

Chester-Seward now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Dover, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Everything came up roses for Chester-Seward against Dover in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 43-12 victory. Do the Hambletonians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
