Baseball Recap: Hammond Find Success

Hammond owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Springfield Bulldogs. The win continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

The result came thanks to Justin Harland's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lathan Ducote, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Hammond's victory bumped their record up to 6-24. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 14-18.
