After a string of four wins, Iola-Scandinavia's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Zephyrs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Iola-Scandinavia started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-20.

Their offense was headlined by Avah Weinreis and Ava Printz, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Emma Printz and her 45 assists.

Iola-Scandinavia now has a losing record of 12-13. As for St. Mary Catholic, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Iola-Scandinavia will square off against Amherst at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Mary Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Oostburg on the 11th.
