Cranford had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Elizabeth Minutemen. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since April 17th.

Cranford's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Elizabeth, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.
