Basketball Recap: Traip's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Traip hadn't done well against Boothbay recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Traip Rangers ended the year with a bang, routing the Boothbay Seahawks 49-25. The win was some much needed relief for the Rangers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Traip's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Boothbay, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Traip will head out to square off against Sacopee Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Traip has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Boothbay, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Winthrop at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
