            For the second straight game, Myrtle will face off against Stringer. The Hawks will host the Red Devils  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The last three games Myrtle has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Myrtle is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Stringer  4-3. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by  just one  run.
 Brooklyn Streich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on ten hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Mary Ella Mayer, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and two  RBI. That's the most  doubles  she has posted since back in March.
 Myrtle is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Stringer, they moved to 25-4-2 with that  defeat, which also ended their 18-game winning streak.
