Softball Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

Belmont's last matchup with Booneville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Cardinals came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 14-0. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the team, making it nine in a row.

Belmont's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Booneville, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

Looking ahead, Belmont will welcome Biggersville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Booneville, they will venture away from home to take on Alcorn Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
