Decatur skates past Jefferson with ease

Recap: Decatur Golden Gators vs. Jefferson Raiders
There's no place like home for the Decatur Golden Gators, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 63-28 victory over Jefferson at home. The victory was just what Decatur needed coming off of a 59-29 defeat in their prior matchup.
Decatur can attribute much of their success to Tamairah Allen, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaira Creary, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Decatur now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Decatur will be playing in front of their home fans against Federal Way at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kentlake at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
