Volleyball Recap: Dover's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dover can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Mayflower Eagles on Wednesday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

When it comes to explaining why Dover lost, don't look at Early Jackson. Despite the final result, she had 26 digs and three assists. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Dover moved to 11-16 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Mayflower, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9-1 record this season.
