Baseball Recap: Geneva County Bulldogs vs. Slocomb Red Tops

After flying high against Poplar Springs last Friday, Geneva County came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Slocomb Red Tops by a score of 8-6 on Monday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Red Tops recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Geneva County got a good showing from Brayden West, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. West has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
