Baseball Game Preview: Midland Classical Academy Knights vs. Trinity Chargers

Midland Classical Academy has gone 6-1 against Trinity recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Knights will look to defend their home field against the Chargers at 5:00 p.m.

Midland Classical Academy managed to slip by Lubbock Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Knights came up short against the Eagles on Tuesday, falling 8-2. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly six runs.

Midland Classical Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Friez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Trinity, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They skirted past Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy 8-7. The Chargers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

This is the second loss in a row for Midland Classical Academy and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Trinity, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Everything went Midland Classical Academy's way against Trinity when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Midland Classical Academy made off with a 13-3 victory. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
