If Greater Johnstown wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bishop McCort, they should've done a better job of containing Olivia Urban. The Crushers put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday with plenty of help from Urban, who had 24 assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 12 times she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-8.

Bishop McCort's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Preuss led the charge by getting seven digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Preuss a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Zucco, who had ten kills.

They weren't the only good server: Bishop McCort was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive games.

Bishop McCort's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Greater Johnstown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Bishop McCort has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against North Clarion on the 20th. As for Greater Johnstown, they will face off against Penn Cambria at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
