Softball Recap: Randolph Gets the Win

The Randolph Ro-Hawks were able to grind out a solid win over the Benavides Eagles on Thursday, taking the game 8-3.

Raelynn Fowler made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Isla Taase was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Megeath, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Randolph's victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1.

Coming up, Randolph will welcome Navarro at 11:20 a.m. on Saturday. As for Benavides, they will take on Poteet at 12:40 p.m. on Friday.
