Volleyball Recap: Northside Extends Winning Streak to Four

Northside had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fayette County Tigers by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Monday.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 26-24, 26-24.

Northside's offense was headlined by Kaleigh Miller and Haley Brooke Lyons, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Aiden Sharbutt and her 16 assists. Finally, Reagan Robertson kept Northside's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Northside's win bumped their record up to 31-5. As for Fayette County, their defeat ended a ten-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 22-5.

Coincidentally, Northside and Fayette County will both be playing Brookwood the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
