Football Recap: Twentynine Palms Takes a Loss

Twentynine Palms fell victim to Yucca Valley and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of the Trojans. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 43-14 to the Trojans when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Yucca Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Shannon, who threw for 205 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes. The Trojans' leading receiver Aiden Pope was Shannon's top target yet again, picking up 107 receiving yards and three TDs.

This is the second loss in a row for Twentynine Palms and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Yucca Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Twentynine Palms nor Yucca Valley have any future games scheduled.
