Mason-Dixon Deaf Football (8 Man) recap October 1, 2013

Mississippi School for the Deaf extended the longest winning streak in Mason-Dixon Deaf Football (8 Man) this week by beating Tennessee School for the Deaf, 16-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Bulldogs.

Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Fighting Hornet defeated Georgia School for the Deaf 18-16.

The Vikings' Rashard Witherspoon and Nakia Johnson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Mississippi School for the Deaf's Darius Trice leads the league in rushing yards with 96.

The marquee game in Mason-Dixon Deaf Football (8 Man) this week will be the clash between Coach Weir's team and the Tigers. The Bulldogs comes into the matchup ranked 11th in the state, while Georgia School for the Deaf ranks 14th.

Tennessee School for the Deaf lost to Mississippi School for the Deaf 16-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
