Softball Recap: Kaufman Comes Up Short

Kaufman lost against Red Oak back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lions came up short against the Hawks, falling 20-2. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bella Phiffer was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Kaufman's loss dropped their record down to 7-12-2. As for Red Oak, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kaufman will take on rival Corsicana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Red Oak is set to face off against their familiar foe Midlothian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
