LaPoynor had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Cayuga Wildcats by a score of 56-46. That's more bragging rights for the Flyers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

LaPoynor has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Cayuga, they dropped their record down to 16-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Alba-Golden the next time they take the court. Cayuga will host Alba-Golden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while LaPoynor will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th.
