Lakeside and Perris are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Perris took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Lakeside, who comes in off a win.

Lakeside took a loss when they played away from home on September 12th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They came out on top against Sierra Vista by a score of 17-9.

Lakeside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaylen Long led the charge by picking up 62 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 40 yards.

Lakeside's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. The heavy lifting was done by Brian Alvarez and Dane Stewart, who racked up five sacks between them.

Meanwhile, Perris was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 21-7 to Grand Terrace. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Perris saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Xavier Cruz threw for 151 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 45 yards.

Perris' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lakeside, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
