Basketball Game Preview: Coshocton Redskins vs. New Lexington Panthers

The Coshocton Redskins are taking a road trip to take on the New Lexington Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Coshocton and four for New Lexington dating back to last season.

Coshocton blew Meadowbrook out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Meadowbrook got their revenge. The Redskins fell just short of the Colts by a score of 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Redskins have suffered against the Colts since January 25, 2022.

Meanwhile, New Lexington came up short against Crooksville on Tuesday and fell 58-46. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Ceramics 14-4 in the first quarter.

New Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Coshocton, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coshocton was able to grind out a solid win over New Lexington when the teams last played back in February, winning 60-52. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Panthers' Isaiah Stephens, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 22 points and five rebounds.
