Goodpasture Christian waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Davidson Academy Bears as they made off with a 53-32 win. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Bears are ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Goodpasture Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madi Crocker out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Crocker also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lazaviona Hawkins, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine assists.

Goodpasture Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Goodpasture Christian pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Davidson Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.
