Basketball Recap: Knowledge Academies Comes Up Short

Knowledge Academies lost to Trousdale County back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Knowledge Academies had to suffer through a 77-25 loss at the hands of Trousdale County. Knowledge Academies has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Knowledge Academies had strong showings from Kalieah Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 boards, and Zerahiah Polk, who posted eight points and ten rebounds. Taylor has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last eight times she's played.

Trousdale County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cayden Ray, who went 8-for-13 en route to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madilyn Pilewicz, who shot 71% from the field to rack up 13 points and five steals.

Knowledge Academies' loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Trousdale County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.

Coming up, Knowledge Academies will host Lighthouse Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trousdale County, they will head out to square off against Watertown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
