Softball Recap: Salt Fork Takes a Loss

Westville hit Salt Fork with a five-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Storm fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-6. The Storm just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Salt Fork's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Westville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Salt Fork will face off against Georgetown-Ridge Farm at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Buffaloes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.88 runs per game on average), something the Storm will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Westville, they have already played their next contest, a 24-0 victory against Armstrong on the 2nd.
