Baseball Recap: Greenfield Starts off Right with Win over Tipton Christian Academy

Greenfield had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tipton Christian Academy Eagles 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellowjackets also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Baylor Vujicic looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

At the plate, Landon Clark was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Tipton Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tipton Christian Academy beat Greenfield by a score of 2-1 later that day.
