Baseball Recap: Whitney Find Success

It was a proper cat-fight when Whitney faced off against Cardinal Newman on Saturday. The Whitney Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Cardinal Newman Cardinals. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 4-0 victory the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Whitney's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Farris, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Whitney's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Whitney has already played their next game, a 9-2 win against West Park on the 4th. As for Cardinal Newman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against St. Ignatius College Preparatory on the 6th.
