Wells waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Virginia City Muckers with a sharp 16-1 win. Considering the Leopards have won 16 games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Teagan Calton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Gage Uhlig was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Wells always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Virginia City only posted an OBP of .462.

Wells' record is now 19-8. As for Virginia City, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wells beat the Muckers by a score of 17-2 later that day.
