Softball Recap: Lake Cormorant Takes a Loss

Lake Cormorant suffered their closest loss since March 8th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Grenada Chargers by a score of 4-2. The defeat continues a trend for Lake Cormorant in their meetings with Grenada: they've now lost three in a row.

Alanna Weaver made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.

Lake Cormorant's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Grenada, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lake Cormorant is set to challenge their familiar foe South Panola at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Grenada will face off against rival Center Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
