After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Master's Academy, Oasis Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Altamonte Christian Eagles 21-0. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won seven matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Shianne Dunkle made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Dunkle was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
In other batting news, Amber Whittington was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 contests. Kenzie Gregory was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Oasis Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .816. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Altamonte Christian only posted an OBP of .462.
