Basketball Recap: Osceola Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Osceola can now relate to. They lost 63-41 to the Harrisburg Hornets on Monday. The Seminoles have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Harrisburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elisabeth Green, who went 8-for-12 en route to 21 points and three steals. Green has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alesia Rand, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.

Osceola's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Harrisburg, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-8.

Osceola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harrisburg, they will face off against Rivercrest at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Harrisburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
