Volleyball Game Preview: Goshen RedHawks vs. Elkhart Lions

Goshen hasn't had much luck against Elkhart recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 11:00 a.m.

Goshen came up short against Bethany Christian last Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Elkhart entered their tilt with Mishawaka Marian on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since September 27th.

Elkhart was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (96-94), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 12-25, 25-23, 25-14, 15-9.

Elkhart's victory bumped their record up to 22-9. As for Goshen, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-21.

Goshen might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Elkhart when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the RedHawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
