Grundy County came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Mercer Cardinals with a sharp 48-28 victory on Friday. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 20 points or more this season.

The win got Grundy County back to even at 5-5. As for Mercer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Grundy County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Winston at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Mercer, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-28 defeat against Grundy County/Newtown-Harris on the 24th.
